The range of new Morgan cars
The Morgan sports car is one of the last British motor cars being built by hand today.
Based in the Malvern Hills, the Morgan Motor Company combine the qualities of “old fashioned” skilled craftsmanship and the latest “futuristic” technology in their production of these world wide known and loved cars.
Comprised of a steel chassis, ash frame and aluminium body panels, the current range of traditional cars include:
The 4/4 sport | The +4 2 seater | The Roadster 2 seater
Both the +4 and the Roadster are available as 4 seater Morgans.
And, with its bonded aluminium tub as a chassis and the latest 4.8 litre BMW engine powering it, the Aero 8 now comes with automatic gearbox option.
The 4/4 Sport
To commence production in 2008, the Morgan Motor Company have recently launched this “no frills” Morgan. To save weight, costs and complexity there will be neither over-riders nor bumpers on the Sport, no sidelights, no door handles nor a spare wheel and tyre. With the new, lighter, 1.6 litre Ford Sigma engine the 4/4 will weigh less than ever before giving a power to weight ratio worthy of its “sporty” title. Black painted wires are standard together with body coloured painted dashboard, saddle brown interior and old style hood (the studded windscreen has returned)!
